Custom Solid Wood Steering Wheels
A custom wood steering wheel is an integrated craft product, not a cosmetic overlay. Real value comes from material, structure, finish, ergonomics, and long-term stability — and photos alone cannot prove any of it. Here is how the work is actually done, and how to judge it.

Entry level
Sleeve / veneer overlay
Thin veneer bonded over the existing wheel and coated. Cheaper and faster, but limited dimensional stability — seams can open, surfaces can warp, and the grip feels thin or hollow.
Not real wood
Water transfer printing
A wood-pattern film applied over plastic or composite, sealed with clear coat. Visually convincing in photos, but it has no timber depth or hand feel, and low-end work cracks and dulls under cabin heat cycles.
Our standard
Genuine solid-wood construction
Natural timber shaped, joined, and integrated into the wheel structure. Requires structural redesign, stabilized timber, precision forming, mechanically sound joints, and a thick layered finish — built around buttons, paddles, heating, and airbag zones.
